Steps for Getting a Business License
  • Contact Zoning at 910.254.0900 to confirm your location is zoned for the business and the use is permitted.
  • Register your business  with the NC Secretary of State or file your "DBA" at NHC Register of Deeds.
  • Selling beer and/or wine?  Call Detective Reinhart, 910.341.1620.
  • Buying/selling gold?  Call Officer Barry Key, 910.341.1031.
  • Running a Taxi, Limo, or Bus service?  Call Officer Bluford, 910.343.3648.
  • Bring all paperwork to our office to complete the process of obtaining your license.  We currently accept only cash or check.
